About these calculators

Cars, bikes and travel

The yearly motor vehicle tax depends on the province where the vehicle is registered. The token tax calculator covers Punjab, Islamabad, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, with the section 234 income tax collected with it for filers and non-filers. Buying a used car? The vehicle transfer fee calculator adds the Punjab or Sindh transfer fee, section 231B advance tax and, in Punjab, capital value tax, and the bike transfer page does the same for motorcycles. For a new car, the on-road price calculator adds section 231B advance tax, registration, the first token tax and number plates to the ex-factory price, and the bike registration fee calculator does it for a new motorcycle. On the road, the motorway toll tax calculator lists the toll for every vehicle class, and the fuel average and cost calculator works out your km per litre and the petrol cost of a trip.

Passport, NADRA and other documents

The passport fee calculator follows the DGIP schedule for the e-passport, now the main passport, with the rules for children and lost passports. The NADRA fee calculator covers the smart ID card, and has pages for the B-form, FRC, NICOP and succession certificate. Driving licence fees differ by province, so there are separate Punjab and Islamabad pages. For papers needed abroad, see the police character certificate fee, the domicile fee and the MOFA attestation and apostille fee.

Visa fees for Pakistanis

The visa calculators total the embassy or visa centre fees for your whole family, with the extras that catch people out: the UK Immigration Health Surcharge, the US visa integrity fee and SEVIS fee, the Schengen visa centre's service fee, Canadian biometrics and the Azerbaijan e-visa service fee. Fees set in pounds, euros or dollars are shown in rupees at the stored exchange rate, and you can type your bank's rate. See the UK, US, Schengen, Canada and Azerbaijan pages.

Gold, silver and tola

Jewellers in Pakistan still weigh in tola, masha and ratti. The gold price calculator and silver calculator value a piece by weight and purity, with making charges when buying and the deduction when selling, starting from the Sarafa rate stored on the page; type the day's rate for an exact figure. The tola converter handles tola, masha, ratti and grams both ways.

Money tools and the desi calendar

The IBAN generator builds and checks a 24 character Pakistani IBAN, amount in words writes a cheque amount in lakh and crore, in million and billion and in Urdu, the inflation calculator shows what old rupees are worth now using PBS CPI figures, and desi date today gives the Punjabi desi month and date.

Common questions

Are these the official fees?

They are the fees in the published schedules of DGIP, NADRA, the provincial excise and licensing departments, embassies and visa centres, with the date of each schedule on the page. qaaf is not linked to any of these offices. Pay the amount on your challan or receipt if it differs.

Why does the visa fee in rupees not match my card statement?

Visa fees are set in pounds, euros or dollars and your bank converts them at its own card rate on the day, often a few rupees above the State Bank rate, and may add a foreign currency charge and advance tax. Type your bank's rate into the calculator for a closer figure.

Is the gold rate on these pages today's rate?

No. The calculators start from the Sarafa association rate stored with its date, because gold moves several times a day. Type the rate your jeweller quotes and the calculator values your gold at that rate.

Which token tax applies to my car?

The token tax of the province where the car is registered, not where you live. A car on an Islamabad number pays the Islamabad rate even if you live in Rawalpindi. Choose the province of registration in the token tax calculator.

Do I still need an MRP passport?

No. DGIP stops issuing new machine readable passports after 14 October 2026, and an MRP already issued stays valid until it expires. New applications and renewals after that date are e-passports, at the e-passport fee.
