How storage changes the tax
All three sizes are well above US$700, so the fixed items do not change: Rs 17,600 regulatory duty and Rs 16,000 levy. The difference is all sales tax at 25%, plus additional customs duty on CNIC.
- 256GB to 512GB: US$120 more takes the passport tax from Rs 128,028 to Rs 136,338.
- 512GB to 1TB: US$240 more takes it to Rs 152,958.
A 1TB set on passport (Rs 152,958) costs almost as much in tax as a 256GB set on CNIC for a filer (Rs 157,533). If you are choosing which size to bring home, the tax gap between 256GB and 1TB is worth adding to the price gap.

Things to check first
- Dual SIM. A dual SIM phone has two IMEIs. Make sure both are in your application and both show as registered after you pay.
- 60 days. The passport route is open for 60 days after your arrival. After that it becomes a CNIC registration with a fine.
- Five a year. One person can register up to five devices a year in DIRBS.

Finding the S25 Ultra's IMEI
Look up the S25 Ultra's IMEI under Settings, About phone, or dial *#06#. Send it to 8484 by SMS or enter it in PTA's DIRBS app. When the phone is not yet registered, DIRBS issues a PSID with the tax due. The PTA tax calculator covers the process for any phone.
Galaxy S25 Ultra PTA tax questions
How much is S25 Ultra PTA tax on passport?
About Rs 128,028 for 256GB at the US$1,299.99 launch price: Rs 17,600 regulatory duty, Rs 94,428 sales tax and Rs 16,000 levy. The 512GB is about Rs 136,338 and the 1TB about Rs 152,958.
How much is S25 Ultra PTA tax on CNIC?
About Rs 157,533 for 256GB, Rs 167,505 for 512GB and Rs 187,450 for 1TB, for a filer. A non-filer pays Rs 11,500 more in each case because withholding tax doubles.
Is PTA tax on the S25 Ultra the same as on the S24 Ultra?
At launch price, yes, because Samsung launched both at US$1,299.99 for 256GB in the US. In practice customs may value the older S24 Ultra lower, which would make its tax lower.
All three storage sizes are priced at Samsung's US launch prices, the 2026-27 rates and the State Bank dollar rate of 8 October 2026 (Rs 277.01). FBR has not listed the S25 series in a valuation ruling, so the PSID you receive is the figure that counts.
