The Galaxy S24 Ultra is preselected; switch between passport and CNIC to compare the routes. At Samsung's US launch price of US$1,299.99 for 256GB, PTA tax on a Galaxy S24 Ultra is about Rs 128,028 on passport and Rs 157,533 on CNIC for a filer.
FBR's used-phone ruling of April 2026 lists Samsung phones only up to the S23 Ultra, valued at US$305. No FBR ruling lists the S24 Ultra, new or used. A phone launched in January 2024 is unlikely to be valued at its full launch price in 2026, so read these figures as the top of the range.

What a lower value would mean
Because the value is the unknown here, it helps to see the tax at a few values on passport:
| Value | Slab | Passport tax |
|---|---|---|
| US$1,299.99 (launch) | Above US$700 | Rs 128,028 |
| US$701 | Above US$700 | Rs 86,546 |
| US$700 | US$500 to 700 | Rs 78,477 |
| US$500 | US$350 to 500 | Rs 43,091 |
| US$305 (S23 Ultra used value) | US$200 to 350 | Rs 27,392 |
Note the jump at US$700, where the levy doubles to Rs 16,000, and the bigger one at US$500, where sales tax rises from 18% to 25%. Once DIRBS shows the value it used, type it into the calculator under "Enter value in US$" to check the PSID.

Galaxy S24 Ultra status check
On a Galaxy S24 Ultra the IMEI is printed on the box and shown under Settings, About phone, as well as on *#06#. Dual SIM sets have two, and both need registering. Text each one to 8484 or check it on PTA's DIRBS website, then apply for a PSID if it is not registered. The PTA tax calculator has the steps.
Galaxy S24 Ultra PTA tax questions
How much is S24 Ultra PTA tax on passport?
About Rs 128,028 if FBR uses the US$1,299.99 launch price. That is Rs 17,600 regulatory duty, Rs 94,428 sales tax at 25% and a Rs 16,000 levy. A lower FBR value would lower the sales tax part.
How much is S24 Ultra PTA tax on CNIC?
About Rs 157,533 for a filer and Rs 169,033 for a non-filer at the launch-price value. CNIC adds 4% additional customs duty and withholding tax of Rs 11,500, doubled for non-filers.
Is the S24 Ultra in FBR's used phone valuation list?
Not in Ruling 2070/2026 of April 2026. That list stops at the Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23+ and S23. Customs sets a value for unlisted models itself, so check the figure on your PSID.
Worked at the 2026-27 rates and Rs 277.01 per dollar (State Bank, 8 October 2026). No FBR valuation ruling lists the S24 Ultra, so Samsung's US launch price stands in as the value. Your DIRBS PSID is the amount you pay.
