August 2026 fuel adjustment, billed in October 2026

units

The bill shows the FPA month, e.g. "FPA for JUL-26". Enter your units for that month from the 12-month history. Leave blank to use this month's units.

Quarterly adjustment billed September to November 2026. It can be negative, e.g. -0.45. Use the figure on your bill if it differs.

Ticked because many recent bills still show it. Untick it if your bill has no electricity duty line.

Non-filers pay 7.5% income tax when the bill is Rs 25,000 or more.

Your bill's cost of electricity can differ by a few paisa because it is adjusted for the number of days in the reading period. The first bill of a new connection can cover more than one month.

Enter your TESCO units and pick your consumer type. With the current adjustments, 100 units on a 1 kW connection costs about Rs 927 on the lifeline tariff, Rs 1,744 if protected and Rs 3,588 if unprotected.

TESCO is the Tribal Electric Supply Company, serving the merged tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It bills homes on the same national uniform tariff as every other company.

Who qualifies for lifeline and protected

  • Lifeline: single-phase connection, sanctioned load up to 1 kW, and no more than 100 units a month. Lifeline users get no slab benefit: 80 units are billed at Rs 7.74 each, not at Rs 3.95 for the first 50.
  • Protected: 200 units or less in each of the last six months.
  • Unprotected: everyone else.

If a lifeline home uses more than 100 units, the calculator moves it to unprotected rates.

Electricity duty and reading your bill

The merged districts are part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Electricity duty does not appear on every TESCO home bill, so match the duty box to your bill.

You need the units consumed and the sanctioned load in kW from your bill. If your bill is based on an estimated reading rather than a meter reading, the calculator can still show what those units should cost.

TESCO's neighbours bill on the same national tariff: the PESCO bill calculator and the HAZECO bill calculator.

Protected TESCO bill by units

Protected TESCO home, 2 kW load, current adjustments, duty included.

Questions people ask

What is the lifeline electricity rate in 2026?

Rs 3.95 per unit for up to 50 units, and Rs 7.74 per unit for 51 to 100 units, under the February 2026 NEPRA tariff. All units are charged at the rate of the slab you land in. There is no fixed charge and no fuel or quarterly adjustment.

How much is a 100 unit TESCO bill?

About Rs 927 on the lifeline tariff, Rs 1,744 if protected and Rs 3,588 if unprotected, on a 1 kW connection with the current adjustments with duty included. The electricity bill calculator compares 100 unit bills in more detail.

Is the TESCO tariff different from PESCO?

No. TESCO, PESCO, HAZECO and the other companies all charge the same national uniform tariff notified in February 2026. The fuel and quarterly adjustments are set in the same NEPRA decisions for all of them.

Do lifeline users pay GST?

Yes. GST at 18% is charged on the cost of electricity and any duty, even on a lifeline bill. For 100 lifeline units that is about Rs 141.
