At 300 units no home is protected, because protected rates stop at 200. The figure is the same for every company, including K-Electric in Karachi.

1 kW, duty charged Rs 14,034.68
3 kW, duty charged Rs 14,860.68

Fixed charges are Rs 350 per kW at this slab, so each extra kW of sanctioned load adds Rs 350 plus GST. Some Punjab homes may no longer see electricity duty after a 2025 provincial law, but bills in 2026 have still shown it. Check yours.

What unit 301 costs

At 301 units, every unit moves to Rs 36.46 and the fixed charge rises to Rs 400 per kW.

  • 300 units: Rs 14,447.68
  • 301 units: Rs 15,822.69

That one unit adds well over Rs 1,000 to the bill. The 400 units bill shows the next slab in full.

Worked for a 2 kW connection unless stated, with 1.5% duty, no meter rent, the August 2026 fuel adjustment, billed in October 2026 and the quarterly adjustment on September, October and November 2026 bills. These are estimates: arrears, late payment surcharge and the days in your billing period can change the amount on your bill, which is the one to pay.
