Worked example: a Lahore plot in Karachi terms
A family moving from Lahore owns a 7 marla society plot and wants to know its size in gaz, the way Karachi adverts state it:
- Square feet: 7 × 225 = 1,575 sq ft
- Gaz: 1,575 ÷ 9 = 175 gaz
- If the same 7 marla were revenue marla: 7 × 30.25 = 211.75 gaz
So a 7 marla society plot sits between a 160 and a 200 gaz Karachi plot. For square feet directly, use marla to square feet.
